I am an advocate of keeping things simple and letting children create their own fun with as much encouragement as possible.
I am convinced that, away from the pressures of consumerism and the quick fix of instant gratification, creativity contributes to a calm home and to happy family life.
We are often asked for suggestions for presents and our answer is simple. Find something that encourages children to explore their imagination and the world around them. We source inspiring things that promote creativity and encourage individuality. The right books are a great option for children and can be a magical addition to family life encouraging imagination, concentration and curiosity. The art of reading out loud helps children to develop vocabulary, speech and word recognition and the ritual of the bed time story is a nuturing moment of calm at the end of the day. For older children and teenagers there are some wonderful creative books to inspire art and design.
One creative idea leads to another so this is a good place to start and you never know where it might end up.
